Grotta del Vento is a karst cavity located in the chain of the Apuan Alps at the foot of the Pania Secca near Fornovolasco.

It is a 4,500m long cave with a vertical drop of at least 120m. The only official entrance to the cave is located at 640 meters above sea level, although there are probably others above 1,400 meters: this particular conformation could justify the phenomenon of strong winds, a feature from which the gorge takes its name. In the area of the tourist entrance, air currents were recorded at a speed of 40 km/h.

Every year, the area is among the favorite destinations of naturalistic tourism: there are three routes, respectively of 1, 2 or 3 hours, more or less difficult and two adventure itineraries, well equipped with concrete lit paths with handrails but  suitable only for those who do not suffer from vertigo and are familiar with similar activities.
