One hundred original posters from the Salce Collection National Museum, in Treviso, will be on display in Lucca for the exhibition that explores – in an unprecedented way – the relationship between the famed composer from Lucca and the advertising poster.
Giacomo Puccini's works have marked some essential developments of the lyrical and advertising poster, including through direct contact with artists with whom the Maestro entertained close relationships.
The exhibition will present a rich display of original posters dedicated to Puccini's works and to the cultural context of the time, from historical to contemporary creations, of which the Salce Collection National Museum, one of the largest in the world for advertising graphics, preserves the largest existing collection in Italy.
