ROUTE 11 km - FLAT

Start from Villa Puccini in Viareggio, proceed towards the sea along via Marco Polo to reach the Fausto Coppi Cycle Path and follow it entirely up to the Port of Viareggio. After crossing the two bridges that lead to the south side of the Port, turn right → onto via Michele Coppino and then turn left ← onto via Euro Menini. If you wish to reach Torre del Lago along the paved roads, otherwise [(*) see below], turn left ← into via Virgilio. Take viale dei Tigli, which is on the right →, and follow it entirely up to the intersection with via G. Marconi: turn left ← and go straight, pass the railway underpass and continue straight until you reach Villa Puccini di Torre del Lago .

(*) From via Euro Menini it is possible to make a detour (+3 km) along dirt roads that cross the Lecciona Natural Park and run along the Bufalina canal. In this case, go straight on and follow entirely the road along viale Europa: at the end, the dirt path “via delle Ginestre” begins which, through the Parco della Lecciona, leads to viale Europa in Torre del Lago. Continue straight up to the end of the road and then continue along the cycle - pedestrian path on the left ←. At the intersection with the first dirt road, turn right → and follow it up to the Bufalina canal: cross the bridge and proceed along the canal to the second bridge, cross it and go straight, along via Venezia, up to the roundabout: turn right → in via G. Marconi and go straight on until you reach Villa Puccini di Torre del Lago.
