The construction of the bridge, spanning the stream Surricchiana at Calavorno, dates back to the 14th century. Placed at the bottom of the valley on the route to Castelnuovo, the sandstone bridge was built by local masons. Due to the importance of the communication route in the middle of which it was paced, the bridge was built and still is used as a road bridge, despite the traffic has switched to the nearby main road.
