The plaque, to the left of the entrance on the facade of the ex Tobacco Factory in Lucca, has a large stone frame around a bronze bas-relief of a woman encircled by a turreted crown (Italy) surrounded by groups of worshippers - men (to the left), women (to the right), children and workers. Beneath this there is the plaque with dedicatory epigraph. The bas-relief is surmounted by a bronze eagle with outspread wings.

venni a voi nell'anno quinquagesimo dell'anno Mille
lavoratori lavoratrici
nelle persone
G.Pascoli

Inaugurated during the celebrations of 24th May 1923, the Tobacco Factory (closed for some time) was one of the town's most important factories at the time, and a place with a strong female and workers' presence. As a place of aggregation originated also a strong vindictive movement, in the immediate post-war period.
