The monument was originally situated in an internal garden. It was subsequently moved outside the nursing pavilion and is now found near the entrance. The monument was inaugurated on 24th May 1924 with a large ceremony. Over the years it has been object of several celebrations and official visits: comprehensibly as it was designed and made as a representation of the reconciliation between the military world (and the nation) and the world of work (and the proletariat). The attached photograph shows the monument on 31st May 2010 - last working day of the factory, that closed its doors after 120 years of production.
