Camaiore is the municipality in Versilia, where the tradition of the crib is mostly rooted. Famous and very popular is the exhibition of nativity scenes that for over two decades has been enriching every year the main town churches and those of the hillside villages. To this tradition joins the one of the live nativity enacting promoted by local committees and numerous associations.
On Boxing Day, the living crib of Nocchi will be reproposed. The setting takes us back in time to about one hundred years ago, when in the village worked carpenters, blacksmiths, farmers and bakers, the shepherds came to sell their products and the women met at the washing pools to wash clothes or spun wool out of the home door.
